Environmental & Regulatory Specialist

Roundhouse Recruiting has an exclusive opportunity for an Environmental and Regulatory Affairs Specialist  for our client located in northern Cincinnati.  
The Environmental and Regulatory Affairs Specialist is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and ensuring compliance to all International, National, State, and Local regulatory regulations and requirements.  
 
Training/Experience: 1. ISO 14001Automotive industry experience highly preferred. 2. Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT,CARB, RAPCA, etc regulatory agencies.  3. Experience leading / conducting internal audits. 4. Experience managing Federal & State Air Emissions and Hazardous Waste, ideally involving manufacture of chemical substances. 5. 2 years experience in a Chemical company involved with Federal and State Air Emissions, Hazardous Waste, OSHA, TSCA requirements preferred. 6. Proficient on Microsoft Office Products.  7. Experience with GHS SDS regulations and GHS labels. 8. Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills  9. Must be self-disciplined, organized, detail oriented, and able to work independently   10. Skill in researching domestic and international regulatory requirements. 11. Strong work ethic and “coachability” is a must  12. Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or similar field preferred. 
 
 
Job Responsibilities: 1. Lead ISO 14001 audits and the transition to the 2015 revision before September 2018. 2. Audit and maintain ISO14001 certification at 2 facilities.   3. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with all regulatory requirements applicable to TBI (EPA, REACH, VOC, Prop 65, OSHA, FDA, RoHS Consumer Product regulations, DOT, international, federal, state and local regulations). 4. Evaluate new/revised regulations to determine applicability to TBI products. 5. Complete all activities necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements. 6. Complete all environmental regulatory reports and permit applications. 7. Handle all IMDS requests.  8. Conduct EMS training with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization. 9. Recommend environmental and regulatory goals and track progress to the goals. 10. Measure environmental and regulatory program performance, analyze data and trends and execute improvement plans. 11. Support the SDS, and product labeling design. 12. Maintain knowledge of EU, Mexican, and Canadian regulations.
