Project Manager- Civil Construction

Due to growth, we are currently recruiting for experienced Project Managers in the Greater Cincinnati area to work on civil excavation and land development projects.  This opportunity is with a stable 60 year old firm, with a high-performance culture, combined with modern business practices, and a true industry leader in site and civil services, as well as providing full-spectrum energy services for oil and gas field construction.

Responsibilities:  Drive operations to deliver projects safe, right, and fast.  Serve as a leader to build and develop a strong team to support and sustain profitable growth and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth for our team.  Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to increase profitable and sustainable growth.  Offer clients new and innovative solutions to ensure quality, reduce risk, and provide the lowest total cost.  Manage Subcontractors and Vendors to surpass customer expectations, minimize risk, and lower cost.  Read and interpret established scope of work. Plan specifications to ensure complete understanding of all project requirements.  Develop project plans, phases and schedules. Communicate plan and schedule changes, alternate work assignments, change orders and scope revisions to the project team.  Accurately project cost to complete based on intimate job knowledge and experience to eliminate financial surprises, effectively manage the project and provide accurate costing feedback to estimating.  Oversee administrative deliverables to minimize risk and allow for timely and accurate decisions.

Requirements:  Successful candidate should have 5+ years of prior experience managing multiple job sites.  Experience with a wide range of project types such as: Energy projects, DOT highway, roadway, municipal, commercial, retail, and residential excavation and land development.  Ability to travel (50-75%) to job sites in Ohio, West Virginia, and other locations as required.  Must have excellent client relations, leadership, and project management skills.  Bachelor's Degree (Civil Engineering or Construction Management).
